Axiata Group Q1 earnings up 9.8% to RM675.87m


KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd's earning rose 9.8% to RM674.87mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2014 from RM614.56mil a year ago, underpinned by its overseas operations.

It said on Tuesday its revenue increased by a marginal 0.7% to RM4.515bil from RM4.481bil. It said at constant currency, it would have increased by 4%. Its earnings per share were 7.9 sen compared with 7.2 sen.
