Selangor records highest value of construction work in Q1


KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor recorded the highest value of construction work in the first quarter of 2014 at RM5.97bil or 23.9% of all the states, indicating a pick-up in construction sector in the country.

The Statistics Department said Kuala Lumpur was second as with RM4bil or 16% of the total construction work; Johor at RM3.99bil (16%); Perak RM2.1bil (8.4%) while Sarawak accounted from RM1.65bil (6.6%).
