Higher net profit for TNB in sight, earnings expected to grow 4%

PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), which is releasing its second-quarter results tomorrow, should see a 4% year-on-year growth in its net profit, according to a research house.

Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) in its note to clients said it estimated TNB’s core net profit to be about RM920mil, bringing the first half financial year 2014’s net profit to 45% of its targetted earnings for the company.
