Bursa net profit up 18% to RM45m


Chief executive officer Datuk Tajuddin Atan(pic file) said over the past three years, its operating revenue has continued its upward path.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd’s net profit rose 18.18% to RM45.1mil for the first quarter ended March 31 compared with RM38.2mil achieved a year ago on the back of higher operating revenue.

The stock exchange operator saw its revenue increased to RM12.16mil, up 11.5% from RM110.35mil in the same period a year ago. Earnings per share for the first quarter rose to 8.5 sen compared from 7.2 sen previously.
