KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI closed Wednesday in the red on late selling of select blue chips as investors took profit amidst a lacklustre trade, while Asian markets gained from firm China data.
At 5pm, the KLCI closed down 8.51 points or 0.46% to 1,845.37. Turnover was 2.4 billion shares valued at RM2.25bil. There were 442 gainers, 374 decliners and 343 counters unchanged.
