KUANTAN: The BASF Petronas’ (BPC) integrated aromatic ingredients complex to be built here will be the first of its kind where BASF will make its proprietary production process technology for manufacturing aromatic chemicals available to a site outside of Germany.
BPC chairman Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin said the complex would include a plant for citral and precursor plants as well as a plant for citronellol and a world-scale plant for L-menthol to meet the growing demand for flavours and fragrances in food and beverages, fabrics, homes, pharmaceuticals and personal care products.
