Selangor makes new offer for Tropicana land


PETALING JAYA: The Selangor state government, via Menteri Besar Selangor Inc, is making a fresh offer to Tropicana Corp Bhd for the sale of the 1,297 acres of “Canal City” land. Tropicana only needs to pay the net present value of RM844.3mil this time around compared with RM1.3bil previously, which was supposed to be payable within 20 years.

In a release sent to the press, Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB) said that based on the latest land sale transaction between Tropicana and Eco World Development Group Bhd, the state government had attained a new perspective on the original agreement between PNSB and Tropicana subsidiary Sapphire Index Sdn Bhd.
