Hektar REIT to double asset base, plans to acquire neighbourhood malls


Zalila: 'At any one point, we have 3 to 4 malls under review for acquisition.'

KUALA LUMPUR: Hektar REIT is aiming to double its asset base of RM1.05bil to RM2bil this year by acquiring neighbourhood malls in developing towns with a population of 150,000-200,000.

“At any point, we have three to four malls under review for acquisition,” Hektar chief financial officer and executive director Zalila Mohd Toon told a press conference after its AGM yesterday.
