Wistron buys 28% stake in Formosa Prosonic

PETALING JAYA: Taiwanese firm Wistron Corp has emerged as a substantial shareholder in Formosa Prosonic Industries Bhd after acquiring 69.26 million shares from certain shareholders-cum-directors of the company.

Filings with Bursa Malaysia showed that Wistron had paid 80 sen a share on Monday for the 28% stake, which works out to RM55.4mil. Shares in Formosa Prosonic fell one sen to 91 sen yesterday.
