Late fund buying sees KLCI closing above 1,830


KUALA LUMPUR: Late buying of key stocks Petronas Gas, Sapura Kencana Petorleum and IOI Corp pushed the FBM KLCI up nearly three points as investor sentiment firmed up in line with key regional markets.

At 5pm, the KLCI was up 2.92 points or 0.16% to 1,830.74. Turnover was 2.98 billion shares valued at RM2.39bil. There were 457 gainers, 366 losers and 340 counters unchanged.
