DiGi Q4 net profit soars on better margins


PETALING JAYA: DiGi.Com Bhd’s net profit for the last quarter of the financial year ended Dec 31, 2013 (FY13) has more than doubled to RM548.52mil on improved margins, as the country’s third biggest telecommunications company (telco) cut subsidies on devices, while the completion of its network upgrade helped it save on operating and depreciation costs.

Revenue for the quarter rose 6% to RM1.73bil from RM1.63bil in the previous corresponding period on strong takeup for its mobile Internet services.
