Bank Negara hopes to weed out 'black sheep' in the money services industry

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara will continue to keep a close watch on the money services industry and expects the newly-launched Malaysian Association of Money Services Business (MAMSB) to weed out the “black sheep” within the industry.

Deputy governor Datuk Muhammad Ibrahim said the association should consider implementing a certification or qualification process in the future such as conducting entrance examinations for its members.
