Sirim seeks foreign strategic partners

KUALA LUMPUR: Sirim Bhd, following its success in producing the world’s first bio natural gas (BioNG), is seeking foreign strategic partners to help it commercialise the output.

Its president/chief executive Dr Zainal Abidin Mohd Yusof said the among the strategic cooperation Sirim sought included financial support, gas suppliers and partner users.

“The pilot project to produce biogas, which is located in Carey Island, is fully completed and is now producing the BioNg on a commercial scale. If there are interested companies, they can come and meet us for discussions,” he said in an interview in conjunction with the launch of two pilot projects in Kudat, Sabah, recently. — Bernama
