KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI climbed to a new record high at midday on Friday powered by gains in Tenaga and select blue chips, as investors rode on the positive external sentiments.
At 12.30pm, the KLCI shot up 15.81 points to 1,859.91. Turnover was 598.4 million valued at RM577.85mil. There were 395 gainers, 254 decliners and 294 counters unchanged.
