KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.8% in October, which was higher than economists’ expectations of 2.7%, due to higher prices for food & non-alcoholic beverages and non-food.
The Statistics Department said on Friday the index for food & non-alcoholic beverages and non-food in October rose 3.7% and 2.3% from a year ago.
