THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to refer to the Star Online article “Economic strategy in foreign policies” by Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid, chairman of Bank Muamalat, published on Nov 9 and states that the conduct of Malaysia’s foreign policy today is inseparable from the economic paradigm.

Diplomacy opens doors to economic collaboration, cooperation and beneficial linkages and more so as barriers come down through various economic cooperation and trade agreements both bilaterally and multilaterally.
