Ibiden expands Malaysian operations


GEORGE TOWN: Ibiden Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is expanding its current facility in Malaysia by having a second building at the Penang Science Park in Bukit Minyak with an investment of RM1.3bil for equipment alone.

Japan-based printed circuit board maker Ibiden Co Ltd managing officer, deputy operation manager Sotaro Ito (pic) said construction of the building, which started two years ago, had been completed recently and would start operation by September next year.
