PETALING JAYA: Factory output as measured by the industrial production index (IPI) expanded by 1% in September compared with the same month last year.
Compared with August, the IPI in September increased by 2.2%, mainly due to gains in the manufacturing and electricity indices of 2.4% and 4%, respectively. The mining index declined by 4.2%.
