PETALING JAYA: Boustead Holdings Bhd’s (BHB) subsidiary, Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (BNS), has issued a letter of award to Contraves Advanced Devices Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of BHB’s unit, Boustead Heavy Industries Corp
Bhd) to supply the torpedo launching system for the second-generation patrol vessels or littoral combat ships.
“The awarded works are not expected to have a material impact on the earnings of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2013 but will contribute positively to subsequent years’ earnings of BNS as the tenure of the awarded works is long term in nature,” BHB told Bursa Malaysia.
