Hamdan, Ranhill censured by regulators

TAN Sri Hamdan Mohamad has been slapped with a reprimand and RM300,000 fine by the Securities Commission (SC) for breaching disclosure rules related to the attempted listing of Ranhill Energy and Resources Bhd, a move which will surely send out the right message to the corporate world to ensure full disclosures are made.

Both Ranhill and Hamdan had failed to immediately inform the SC of the suspension of the licence issued by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to Perunding Ranhill Worley Sdn Bhd (PRW), a company controlled by Hamdan.
