Petronas Dagangan’s Q3 earnings slip 6.8% to RM226.21m

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Dagangan Bhd’s earnings fell 6.8% to RM226.21mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2013 from RM242.81mil a year ago due to the increase in average cost of products and higher operating expenditure.

It said on Thursday the unfavourable Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) price movement and higher operating expenditure have resulted in a profit before tax of RM315.7mil for Q3, 2013, down by RM24.8mil from the RM340.49mil a year ago.
