Economic Report 2013/2014: State govts set to record small deficit of RM196mil


THE overall financial position of state governments is expected to post a small deficit of RM196mil, the first since 2003, as development expenditure is anticipated to outpace revenue growth.

The consolidated financial position of state governments, meanwhile, is projected to record a lower current surplus of RM8.3bil as opposed to RM11.3bil last year.
