Asian shares down, yen stays strong


The yen remained strong against the dollar even though Tokyo lost 0.97% by the break on Friday, Oct 25, as did Hong Kong which slid 0.14%, Seoul by 0.73%, Shanghai by 0.31% - Reuters Photo.

HONG KONG: Asian markets slipped Friday following a rise on Wall Street amid a mixed bag of earnings reports and as the yen remained strong against the dollar.

Tokyo lost 0.97% by the break, Hong Kong slid 0.14%, Seoul fell 0.73%, Shanghai was down by 0.31% while Sydney bucked the trend by rising 0.39%.
