Govt urged to set up housing body to work with PR1MA

PETALING JAYA: The Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents & Property Consultants in the Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS) is recommending that the Government set up a National Housing Corp (NHC) to work with the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Programme (PR1MA) to plan, coordinate and implement affordable housing in each state.

“The role of the NHC would be as facilitator and it would work with PR1MA, all state governments, government authorities and the private sector to achieve the five-year plan,” said PEPS publicity chairman James Wong in a statement.
