KUALA M LUMPUR: Malaysia’s blue chips fell in early Thursday trade, with Genting Bhd and MISC in the red as investors stayed on the sidelines in the absence of strong catalysts while the US Budget deadlock continues.
At 9.14am, the KLCI was down 0.1 of a point to 1,769.02. Turnover was 107.57 million shares valued at RM49.82mil. There were 135 gainers, 59 losers and 143 counters unchanged.
