“ANY brand can win at the Effie Awards,” says Effie Worldwide advisory board member Judd Labarthe. “You may be Joe’s chicken stand on the corner competing with bigger brands, but the Effie is a competition where you are actually competing against yourself.”
He describes it as a competition that “allows the small guys to win if they can do a great job or exceed their own objectives and ambitions as well as demonstrate it to the judges.” The requirement applies to all brands that are competing in the Effie, he adds.
