MMHE posts lower Q2 net profit

PETALING JAYA: Oil and gas services provider Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd’s (MMHE) net profit dropped 14.04% year-on-year to RM47.55mil for the second quarter ended June 30 due to lower contributions from the offshore and marine segments.

Revenue came in 18.53% lower at RM786.72mil largely due to project completions such as the Gumusut-Kakap floating production system and early-stage progress of other projects, a filing with the stock exchange showed.
