KLCI slips below 1,800 on mild profit taking


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian bourse pared some of its gains at midday on Monday and fell below the 1,800 level on mild selling of selected blue chips in line with the cautious outlook for Asian equities.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was just up 1.80 points to 1,799.54. Turnover was 709.95 million shares valued at RM679.48mil. There were 314 gainers, 341 losers and 300 counters unchanged, reflecting the mild profit taking.
