Panasonic MD: Annual sales, led by home appliances, likely to hit RM2bil by 2015

PETALING JAYA: Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd is raring to hit sales of RM2bil by 2015, with home appliances continuing to make up the bulk of the sales, according to newly-appointed managing director Yosuke Matsunaga, who assumed office in April this year.

“There is latent potential in this (Malaysian) market, as many products are yet to be introduced here. For example, in east Malaysia, people are using box-type freezers to keep food for weeks. But, at this moment, we are not selling this product, which is already sold in Thailand. So, why don’t we introduce it for the Malaysian market? The demand is here,” he said during an interview.
