GEORGE TOWN: Local test equipment manufacturers are not expecting the semiconductor segment to contribute to their growth this year due to shrinking expenditure globally.
Pentamaster Corp Bhd executive chairman Chuah Choon Bin said in an interview that the demand for material test handlers from the semiconductor sector dropped significantly in the second quarter, as the global demand for integrated circuits (ICs) in consumer electronic products slowed down.
