S. Korea June exports down 1%

SEOUL: South Korean exports in June fell 1% from a year earlier, revised customs data showed yesterday, slightly worse than first estimated and underscoring difficult trade conditions for Asia’s fourth-largest economy.

Exports to the crisis-hit European Union rose by 13% in June from a year earlier, while those to China rose by 5.3%. Shipments to the United States rose by 5.7% last month year-on-year. – Reuters
