VEGOILS-Market factors to watch June 27(Thursday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures fell to a 3-week low on Wednesday as investor sentiment remained fragile on weak overseas markets, although losses were capped by healthy exports and a still-weak ringgit.

* Oil edged higher on Wednesday, shaking off earlier losses following a large build up in U.S. gasoline inventories, buoyed by gains in the stock market and heavy spread trading. MARKET NEWS

* The dollar rose and global equity markets gained for a second day on Wednesday after a surprisingly sharp downward revision to first-quarter U.S.economic growth eased concerns the Federal Reserve might soon begin to withdraw stimulus. * Nearby U.S. corn futures rose for a second straight session on Wednesday and spot soybean futures climbed for a third day as traders adjusted positions before an end-of-week U.S. Department of Agriculture report that was expected to confirm the tightest U.S. grain stocks in years.

* Gold tumbled 4 percent on Wednesday for its fourth straight session of declines, and copper and coffee prices slipped too, pushing a benchmark commodities index to a one-year low. RELATED NEWS
