VEGOILS-Market factors to watch June 26(Wednesday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets. FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures inched higher on Tuesday on strong export data, although gains were capped as investors worried about China and U.S. demand outlooks.

* Crude oil prices ended near flat in a sluggish day of trading on Tuesday as stronger equity markets put a floor under prices and Brent's premium over U.S. crude slid below $6. MARKET NEWS

* Global equity markets and the dollar rose on Tuesday after U.S. economic data ranging from manufacturing and housing to consumer confidence delivered a dose of optimism to investors rattled in recent days by worries over Federal Reserve policy.

* U.S. soybean futures rose for a second straight session on Tuesday, supported by firm cash prices amid persistent demand from domestic processors for razor thin supplies remaining from last year's drought-hit harvest.

* Copper closed higher on Tuesday, recovering from a three-year low earlier in the day, as China's central bank sought to soothe fears of a credit crunch in the world's top metals consumer, while oil finished flat and gold fell amid a stronger dollar. RELATED NEWS
