Should Pemandu be here to stay?


In his latest Transformation Unplugged column (StarBiz, June 10), Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) CEO Datuk Seri Idris Jala says unless the unit evolves into something else, he expects it to be wrapping things up by September 2015. That will be the decision of the Prime Minister. Is it a good idea for Pemandu to be a government fixture? Our columnists take sides.

NO We don't need Pemandu to be around forever. What we really should hope for is that our ministries and the private sector have learnt well from what the unit has been doing since 2009.
