Astro not threatened by new pay-TV rival

KUALA LUMPUR: Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd is taking the threat of new competition from upstart pay-TV firm Asian Broadcasting Network Sdn Bhd (ABN) in its stride.

“The good thing about competition is that it sharpens our focus and helps us understand our value proposition to the customer. That's our challenge. From our perspective we're quite fortunate,” Astro CEO Datuk Rohana Rozhan told journalists on the sidelines of Invest Malaysia 2013 on Friday.
