New corporate structure to ensure Maxis can better respond to customer needs

The first Maxis Experiential Lounge opened in Penang recently to brief the public on the services and applications of mobile Internet and data services.

PETALING JAYA: As the search for a head honco at Maxis Bhd to replace Sandip Das continues, a massive re-organisation is also taking shape which will flatten the existing organisation structure for better decision-making and lead to several senior people leaving the company.

Over the years, Maxis has grown into a RM50bil company by market capitalisation and along with its stellar growth, a lot of redundancies and inefficiencies have also set in. As Maxis searches for a new CEO, it has also seen it timely to make itself more efficient and break down silos for better operational efficiencies and execution.
