VEGOILS-Market factors to watch May 29(Wednesday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Wednesday. FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures hit 1-1/2-month highs on Tuesday as optimism grew that a demand recovery and stagnant output would pare stocks of the edible oil. * Brent crude gained more than $1 on Tuesday as U.S. consumer optimism and signs of easier monetary policy from central banks pushed stock markets higher, while increasing Middle East tension also supported oil. MARKET NEWS

* Asian shares were steady and the dollar remained firm on Wednesday as U.S. stocks rallied to record highs overnight on signs of resilience in the U.S. economy and expectations of continued monetary policy support.

* Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn and soybean futures rallied on Tuesday with soy leaping more than 2 percent, the most in two weeks, as wet U.S. weather threatened to trim crop acreage and yields.

* Oil and copper prices jumped on Tuesday on stronger U.S. consumer confidence and signs of easier monetary policy from central banks, while yield-threatening crop weather boosted corn and soybean futures. RELATED NEWS
