Boustead Q1 earnings down 30.9% on weaker CPO prices


KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Holdings Bhd's earnings fell 30.9% to RM99.9mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2013 from RM144.6mil a year ago due to lower crude palm oil (CPO) prices.

It said on Wednesday its revenue rose 7.3% to RM2.53bil from RM2.35bil a year ago. Earnings per share were lower at 9.66 sen compared with 13.98 sen a year ago. It declared a dividend of 7.5 sen.
