Axiata’s Sri Lanka unit doubles net profit in first quarter


PETALING JAYA: Axiata Group Bhd’s Sri Lankan subsidiary Dialog Axiata PLC’s net profit for its first quarter ended March 31, 2013 doubled to 1.59 billion Sri Lankan rupees (RM86.9mil) compared to the previous corresponding quarter.

In a statement, the company said the financial results included that of Dialog Axiata Plc and the Dialog Axiata Group post-consolidation with subsidiaries Dialog Broadband Networks (Pvt) Ltd and Dialog Television (Pvt) Ltd.
