KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), which posted a net profit of RM1.27bil for the second quarter ended Feb 28, is currently in discussions with the regulators on the setting up of a stabilisation fund.
Chairman Tan Sri Leo Moggie said the fund would help buffer the impact of any tariff hike on customers. The fund that the Government was mulling was to absorb the volatility in prices and the supply of generation fuels, he said at a briefing to announce the utility giant's latest financial results.
