Of monsters and men

IN the graphic novel Batman: Noel, which is a retelling of the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol, the Batman is depicted as the main character “Scrooge,” and we get to see a very different (and interesting) take on the Dark Knight.

Like Scrooge, the Batman we see here is the complete opposite of the true hero that we have come to expect: cold, bitter, tired and very, very angry.
