KLCI slips into the red at the close

KUALA LUMPUR: Profit taking on banks dragged the FBM KLCI into the red at the close, as the 30-stock index saw volatile trading but the broader market displayed more resilence.

At the close, the KLCI fell 0.66 of a point or 0.04% to 1,687.99. Turnover was 1.07 billion shares valued at RM1.82bil. There were 472 gainers, 268 losers and 274 counters unchanged.
