Malaysia Smelting Corp suspended ahead of Indonesian ops details

KUALA LUMPUR: Trading in the securities of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Bhd (MSC) was voluntarily suspended in late morning on Monday ahead of details about its Indonesian operations.

A Bursa Malaysia circular said on Monday the company was still awaiting information on the extension of the contract of work of its 75% owned Indonesian subsidiary from the Indonesian authorities. The contract expired on March 31, 2013. "The board of directors of the company would make an announcement on this matter, after close of business today," it said.
