PETALING JAYA: Inflation as measured by the consumer price index or CPI registered an increase of 1.5% to 106.1 in February compared with the same month a year ago on an increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Prices gained 1.3% year-on-year in January. The Statistics Department said in a statement that the indices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and non-food rose 3.3% and 0.7%, respectively.
