VEGOILS-Market factors to watch March 14(Thursday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets. FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures slipped to a two-month low on Wednesday as weakness persisted in overseas soybean markets, although traders said easing palm oil output should provide some support.

* U.S. wheat futures rose for a sixth consecutive session on Thursday, underpinned by increased demand for wheat as animal feed amid high prices for corn.

* Brent crude fell on Wednesday on a larger-than-expected increase in U.S. crude inventories, a firming dollar, and a forecast from the International Energy Agency that oil demand will shrink. MARKET NEWS

* The dollar climbed to a seven-month high against a basket of currencies on Wednesday and the blue chip Dow Jones stock index rose for a ninth straight session to notch yet another record after U.S. retail sales data stoked optimism on the economy.

* Commodities fell on Wednesday, snapping four straight days of gains, with a strong dollar and a general slowdown in demand pressuring prices for oil, metals and most crops. RELATED NEWS
