Toyota chief to shift lieutenants

TOKYO: Toyota Motor Corp will reshuffle its top bosses and take the axe to its decision-making structure, part of a move to put lower-ranked workers in day-to-day command as it seeks faster responses to market changes.

Earlier this week, sources said president Akio Toyoda intended to make the shift as the Japanese firm strived to hold its rank as the world's biggest selling carmaker by focusing on quality manufacturing, and bringing exciting new models to the showroom. Reuters
