PETALING JAYA: There should be minimal impact on plantation companies and no harm to the oil palm trees in Lahad Datu provided the stand-off with the armed Sulu intruders, who came ashore at various points of Sabah's east coast, ends soon.
There are six plantation companies with estates around the affected area and about 1% of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd's (FGVH) 100,000 ha Sabah estates has already been cordoned off due to the stand-off.
