AirAsia Q4 earnings surge 168% to RM350.6m, declares bumper dividends


KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd's earnings jumped 168% to RM350.6mil in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2012 from RM130mil year ago, driven by a seasonally strong quarter and also due to lower taxes.

The low cost carrier announced on Tuesday a special dividend of 18 sen amounting to RM500.38mil and will be paid on April 12. It also recommended a final tax-exempt dividend of six sen.
