KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips were firmer at midday on Monday, underpinned by fund buying of Maybank and Telekom Malaysia, after a hesitant start while the broader market was mixed ahead of the final batch of corporate results this week.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 3.34 points or 0.21% to 1,625.42. Turnover was 397.51 million shares valued at RM521.14mil. There were 230 gainers, 246 losers and 266 counters unchanged.
