PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s inflation rate, measured by the consumer price index (CPI), rose 1.3% to 105.9 in January 2013 from 104.5 a year ago due to higher food and non-alcoholic beverages and also non-food prices, the Statistics Department said.
The CPI rate was 0.1% higher that the Bloomberg consensus at 1.2%.
